BORDEAUX 2015

October 23 2025

The sun soaked very ripe 2015, is the first of two Bordeaux vintages that have collectors raving (2015-2016).  Most experts described the 2015 reds as rich, full flavoured, with great aging potential. A very warm year that produced deep coloured reds bursting with ripe fruit flavours in a very well balanced style, regardless of the lower than usual acidity. The elite wines (Crus Classés) have barely evolved, and should continue to age favourably over the next 20 to 30 years. The châteaux chosen for this tasting should confirm the high quality level, evolution and remaining aging potential of this highly acclaimed Bordeaux vintage.

Château Batailley, Pauillac
Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Château Beauséjour Bécot, St-Émilion
Château Malartic-Lagravière, Pessac-Léognan
Château Prieuré Lichine, Margaux
Château Malescot St-Exupéry, Margaux
Clos La Gaffelière, St-Émilion

CLASSIC BORDEAUX CHALLENGE : 2001 VS 2021

November 20 2025

This tasting offers the rare opportunity to compare two classic Bordeaux vintages, twenty years apart! From temperate, cooler years with little or no heat waves, the wines from these harvests generated reds that were fresher and more elegant—in other words, “classic” Bordeaux. For the past 15+ years, global warming has changed the Bordeaux style. The classic vintages, traditionally fresher, more elegant, and refined, are becoming the exception rather than the rule. Many Bordeaux aficionados deplore this change in style. This unique tasting will permit us to revisit the classic Bordeaux style in two vintages twenty years apart, to understand how these wines used to evolve before global warming. Don’t miss this very educational experience!
