MARGAUX VERSUS PAUILLAC CHALLENGE

The Pauillac and Margaux appellations produce elegantly structured wines. With eighteen (18) Crus Classés (Classification of 1855 in Haut-Médoc), which includes three (3) Premier Crus, Pauillac is amongst the best quality communes of Bordeaux. But it’s the commune of Margaux that has the most Crus Classés with 21 domaines.  Margaux Chateaux are reputed for their soft texture and seductive charm while offering good depth. Both appellations produce full bodied reds with good structure and great aging potential. A selection of 8 reputed Chateaux from four evolved vintages will help you assess the character and quality level, while discovering the differences of these two outstanding communes of Haut-Médoc.
