CHÂTEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE CHALLENGE
The star of Southern Rhône is obviously Châteauneuf-du-Pape, which is also included in the elite group of outstanding French wines! In the past 20 years, a small group of domaines has established themselves as go-to producers. Unfortunately, prices for quality Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines have continuously increased, but when compared to the best from Bordeaux and Burgundy, Châteauneuf still offers great value. In this unique tasting, a selection of some of the best the region has to offer will be compared in four excellent vintages. This original tasting will also give us the opportunity to experience the complexity that this fine wine can attain. The fan of Grenache will be seduced by this selection of reputed producers. Come experience the richness, complexity, and aging potential of the star of Southern Rhône!

Producing outstanding, structured yet elegant reds, Las Cases often rivals or equals the elite wines of the region: Mouton, Latour, and Lafite. Las Cases is located at the northern end of the St-Julien commune, touching its famous neighbor, Château Latour. Obviously, Las Cases is the most Pauillac of the St-Julien Crus Classés. CLASSIC BORDEAUX CHALLENGE : 2001 VS 2021
This tasting offers the rare opportunity to compare two classic Bordeaux vintages, twenty years apart! From temperate, cooler years with little or no heat waves, the wines from these harvests generated reds that were fresher and more elegant—in other words, “classic” Bordeaux. For the past 15+ years, global warming has changed the Bordeaux style. The classic vintages, traditionally fresher, more elegant, and refined, are becoming the exception rather than the rule. Many Bordeaux aficionados deplore this change in style. This unique tasting will permit us to revisit the classic Bordeaux style in two vintages twenty years apart, to understand how these wines used to evolve before global warming. Don’t miss this very educational experience!
