The 2017 Saumur-Champigny appellation suffered from damaging spring frost. The 2015 and 2016 Château Yvonne were tough acts to follow. However this consistent organic producer came through with a superb 2017 effort. Typical Cab Franc nose displaying some bell pepper with mineral and animal hints. A seductive medium bodied, well balanced red that will marry perfectly with a grilled flank steak with shallots.
