A deeply coloured organic red from the Lagrein varietal (a cousin of the well known Teroldego), from the northern region of Alto Adige. The nose exudes lovely field berry scents with subtle smoky, spicy hints. A fresh, charming, elegant and balanced medium bodied red. From perfectly ripe fruit with refreshing acidity, this easy drinking rosso is quite reminiscent of high quality Loire Cabernet Franc. Good aging potential : 3 to 5 years. A few minutes (30) in a decanter will enhance its lovely nose. Try with Italian sausage and grilled veggies pasta, should match perfectly. Enjoy!
