A lovely blend of Syrah (50%), Grenache (40%) and Carignan (10%) that comes from the village of Latour de France in Roussillon. Crafted at Domaine de Bila-Haut, this charming organic red offers perfectly ripe flavours balanced by soft acidity. The nose displays dark berry scents (balckberry, currant) with licorice and spicy hints. Medium to full bodied, velvety tannins, surprisingly easy drinking with good length. Match this well priced red with pork fillets in a caper and balsamic vinegar sauce. Outstanding!

From the Salento district in Puglia, this interesting blend of Negroamaro (85%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) reveals a deep garnet colour with an orange rim (evolution). The rather traditional-old school nose exudes some cooked fruit, forest floor, tobacco and floral hints. This lovely white is a great occasion to rediscover a forgotten appellation (Lugana) located at the south end of lake Garda. From the misunderstood Turbiana variety, which is linked to Verdicchio and not Trebbiano, its charming fruity nose exudes citrus and apple scents with a slight mineral finish. Quite fresh and flavourful, a hint of residual sugar adds richness and volume without compromising its elegance and balance. Its traditionnal nose displays animal, floral and earthy scents enhanced by seductive jammy field berry aromas. Typically light and supple, but surprisingly flavourful and lengthy.
