Sottimano is highly reputed for its outstanding Barbarescos, but also produces very seductive reds from Barbera. Deep ruby colour, the typical nose reveals lovely fruity (cherry) aromas enhanced by discreet floral/terroirs hints. Despite the high alcohol content (14,5%), this well crafted Barbera remains fresh and perfectly balanced. Medium bodied, surprising acidity, quite flavourful and lengthy. Offers some aging potential : 3 to 5 years. Excellent! A winning combination with Italian sausage and rapini pizza. Enjoy!
An excellent Brouilly displaying perfectly ripe fruit flavours! From an obviously warm vintage, this rich and charming Cru du Beaujolais echoes lovely berry aromas enhanced by warm spicy accents. Despite its ripe and lush character, this Gamay remains fresh and perfectly balanced. With good structure and extract, it should evolve quite well in your cellar for a few years (2 to 4 years). Try this seductive red with grilled veal with mushrooms. Enjoy!
Errazuriz’s products from the Aconcagua Costa appellation offer great value ! Obviously dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (88%), the contribution of Petit Verdot (7%) and Cabernet Franc (5%) in this lovely blend should not be minimized. The sun soaked nose displays currant berry with some oak and vegetal hints. Some firm tannins are balanced by ripe, round flavours and surprising fresh acidity. Medium bodied with good length, match this charming rojo with simply grilled lamb chops.
