Displaying more character than the Vina Real recommended 2 weeks ago, this superb Rioja offers more extract and structure. Made with the traditional varieties of the region, Tempranillo (70%), Garnacha (20%), Graciano (5%) and Mazuelo (5%), this Reserva version has been matured 24 months in French and American oak barriques. A lovely Rioja that offers ripe full flavours with great balance, good length and some aging potential: 4 to 6 years. The well oaked nose exudes aromas of dark cherry and blackberries. Grilled beef flank steak with a shallot sauce should work perfectly with this full flavoured red. Enjoy!
