And now for something different, try this lovely organic red made entirely with the Refosco grape by the appassimento method: partially dried grapes. The nose displays jammy red cherry scents enhanced by floral and earthy hints. A barely oaked rosso that is quite rich and round with a surprisingly refreshing acidity. Curiously the vintage (2022) and «Nature» mention that are seen on the SAQ website, do not appear on the bottle or the producer’s website. Offering good length, it should match perfectly with a red pepper and Italian sausage pizza. Enjoy!
