For many consumers, Italy is not a go to country when it comes to fine whites. Luckily, nowadays Italy offers a wide selection of whites with great character. This one from Vajra in Piemonte is fresh, full flavoured and perfectly balanced. A rather odd blend of Chardonnay (40%), Sauvignon Blanc (30%), Nascetta (10%) and Riesling Renano (10%) that works perfectly. A tasty bianco with tingling acidity, displaying fruity scents of apple and pear enhanced by a vegetal hint. A lovely match with shrimp pasta. Enjoy!
